All over the East Village, but especial along St. Mark's Pl. You'll find mosaics on the light poles. They are pretty darn neat, and speak to the arts history of the neighbor hood. I saw the guy who does them once. An older guy. I think he just like the way it looks and likes talking to people while he works on them.
I remember seeing that one when we were there. The flag stood out. Cool project.
